Corewell Health’s Lakeland Hospital St Joseph unit is seeking an experienced RN to care for stroke, post-neurosurgery, and orthopedic patients. The role emphasizes early mobility, pain control, and neuro-assessment, with RN-led teaching and family-centered planning.

Full-time, day shift, 36 hours per week, with a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for external candidates. The ideal candidate holds an associate degree in nursing (BSN preferred) and MI RN licensure, with BLS and NIHSS certifications

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing
• Bachelor's in Nursing within 5 years
• Graduates from a non-accredited nursing school must have at least one year of acute care experience or two years in a licensed health care role and must have passed NCLEX
• MI Registered Nurse (RN)
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days
• NIH Stroke Certification - NIHSS within 90 days

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process and patient-family centered care principles.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge under the Nurse Leader guidance.
• Document education and learning appropriately in the health record.
