Job summary

Mount Carmel New Albany is actively seeking Registered Nurses for the Medical Surgical Ortho unit with 12-hour night shifts. The RN will deliver patient-centered care, participate in team-oriented workflows, and follow the Nursing Process within Mount Carmel Health System standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care.
• Basic computer skills; EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients; assist with assessments, examinations and treatments.
• Administer medications per standards and guidelines.
• Assist in emergency situations under provider direction.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and diagnoses.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately.
• Supervise care provided by other licensed/unlicensed staff as appropriate.
