Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Position: Full-time

Schedule: 5AM-5PM, every other holiday and every 4th weekend rotation

Role Responsibilities

As an LPN at Hills & Dales Child Development Center, you will monitor resident health, implement interventions, document observations, respond to emergencies, and maintain care plans. You will coordinate with staff, pharmacies, and medical providers, supervise Certified Medication Aides, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, current LPN certification, CPR certification, and Mandatory Reporter training per Iowa guidelines. Preferably, candidates will have at least one year of nursing experience with our target population. A valid driver's license and certification in QBS are also required. Strong communication skills, empathy, and advocacy are essential.

Required knowledge and skills include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Licensed Practical Nurse certification
  • One-year nursing experience (preferred)
  • CPR certification
  • Mandatory Reporter training
  • Ability to maintain QBS certification
  • Valid driver's license
