Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN seeks a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse for PRN night shifts (7pm-7am) on the 2D Neuro Unit. Self-scheduling is available as part of the role.

Responsibilities include direct nursing care from admission to discharge within a high-quality neuroscience unit. Must have Indiana license, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, NIHSS within 10 weeks, and at least 1 year RN experience for PRN eligibility.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana or compact state RN or LPN license.
• BLS for healthcare provider required.
• ACLS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
• NIHSS certification required (obtained within 10 weeks of hire).
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience required to hold a PRN position.

Job Duties:

In this role, the RN or LPN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.

The 2D Neuro unit specializes in providing exceptional, high-quality care to adult patients. Our team delivers personalized, patient-centered care in a collaborative and supportive environment. We work closely as an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, supported by dedicated providers and ancillary staff, to ensure outstanding outcomes for both patients and caregivers. Common neuroscience diagnoses include ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, transient ischemic attacks (TIAs), seizures and epilepsy, degenerative neurological disorders, autoimmune conditions, and other central nervous system disorders. As a certified Primary Stroke Center, we are recognized for delivering state-of-the-art stroke care and excellence in neuroscience nursing.
