Summary:
Develops and provides services related to the orientation, continuing education, and assessment of clinical staff.Responsibilities:
Serves as a consultant/mentor. Acts as a change agent for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development. Performs clinical patient care when necessary. Designs, facilitates, and assesses learning activities and curriculum related to clinical competencies, department/organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and the use of clinical information technologies. Participates in the development, coordination, and delivery of staff orientation, competency evaluation, and education activities. Collaborates with nursing leaders and staff to assess learning needs and competencies.Competencies:
Accountability, customer service, development and implementation of plan of care, knowledge of disease process, organization skills, patient and family-centered care, patient safety - nursing, problem-solving - patient care, responding to change, standards of behavior.Education and Certification Requirements:
Includes a Bachelor's in Nursing, various certifications such as ACLS, BLS, CNS license, Fetal Heart Monitoring, NRP, Chemotherapy & Biotherapy, PALS, and a Florida Registered Nurse License.Additional Job Information:
Requires critical thinking, effective communication, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to handle stressful environments and take patient assignments as needed. Minimum of three years nursing experience required.Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
