Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse - Operating Room in Naples, Florida for a 13-week contract. The OR RN will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and the surgical team to plan and deliver safe patient care during complex procedures, while scrubbing, assisting and ensuring the availability of supplies.

Requirements include a minimum of 2 years OR nursing experience, current ACLS/BLS/PALS, Cerner EMR experience, and AHCA fingerprinting clearance before start.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of operating room RN experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
• AHCA fingerprinting clearance required before start.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical procedures.
• Prepare and ensure availability of surgical supplies in a timely manner.
• Communicate with patients' families regarding care as needed.
• Update physician preference cards and document care accurately.
• Supervise personnel delivering patient care in the operating room.

Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse will demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and enhancing patient care during surgical procedures. The RN will collaborate with the surgical team, including surgeons and anesthesiologists, to uphold the standards of care according to established regulations and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely preparation and availability of surgical supplies.
• Communicate effectively with patients' families regarding care.
• Update physician preference cards and document care accurately.
• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical procedures.
• Supervise personnel delivering patient care in the operating room.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the operating room setting.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
• Experience with Cerner EMR.
• AHCA Fingerprinting clearance required prior to start.
