Shift: 72 hours every two weeks

RN’s hired into the steady off shift program in the Operating Room will be scheduled for either the 1430 pm - 11 pm

or the 1030 pm - 7 am shift

Both will rotate weekends, call, and holidays per policy.

Role Overview:

Delivers professional perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinates supplies, instrumentation, and equipment for pre- and intraoperative care, ensuring proper functioning. (25%)
  2. Performs circulating functions: monitoring, recording, communicating patient condition, and managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures. (25%)
  3. Acts as patient advocate, documenting preoperative and intraoperative care in compliance with policies and regulations. (25%)
  4. Monitors the surgical environment to ensure aseptic technique is followed. (25%)
Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Current RN license in Pennsylvania in good standing
  • Minimum one year of RN experience
  • Minimum one year of OR RN experience
  • Preference given to current night shift employees on the unit

Additional Clearances:

  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Clearance

Licensure: Current PA RN license or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
