Job summary

The University of California, San Francisco is seeking an experienced OR Registered Nurse to provide safe, therapeutic perioperative care in a fast-paced environment. You will be a key member of interdisciplinary teams, performing standard nursing procedures and supporting complex spine and neuro cases.

Responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating through anterior/posterior fusions, robotic/navigation cases, and tumor resections; maintaining patient-focused care under supervision; and

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years Adult Operating Room (OR) RN clinical experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in scrubbing and circulating Neuro/ortho spine cases (anterior/posterior lumbar fusion, lateral lumbar fusion, anterior/posterior cervical fusion, robotic/ navigation, tumor resection, discectomy). Orthopedic complex revision arthroplasty, ortho trauma, and sports medicine
  • Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations
  • Proficiency in scrubbing surgical procedures
  • Proficiency in circulating duties
  • Excellent verbal and written skills. Must be well organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work independently and under pressure.
  • Basic computer skills and general PC knowledge
  • Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations

Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.

Responsible for maintaining the knowledge and abilities essential to the performance of stated behaviors. Carries out legal responsibilities within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act. Accountable to the NURSE SVC SUPV 2 for overall work performance.

Required qualifications:
