RN Operating Room - Full Time Days

Sign-on Bonus: Up to $20,000 (based on eligibility)

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Department Director and/or Charge Nurse, provides direct and/or indirect, safe, and effective professional nursing care. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the healthcare needs of all assigned patients. This includes providing nursing care to a patient population ranging from infants to geriatrics, unless otherwise indicated. The RN collaborates with the healthcare team, maintains a customer-focused approach, and strives to meet unit and hospital goals. The RN provides quality nursing care according to established standards and guidelines for the assigned areas. The candidate must be willing and able to float to other comparable nursing units as needed.

Qualifications:

• Current unrestricted RN license in South Carolina
• Attends IV Therapy training and/or demonstrates competency within one year
• Maintains departmental competency and/or certifications
• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications
• Advanced certification in specialty field and/or participation in professional organizations encouraged

Additional Requirements:

• Previous hospital experience preferred
• Management and teaching abilities required
• Ability to assume the role of Charge Nurse as needed
