Upland Hills Health in Dodgeville, WI seeks an experienced RN OR Circulator to support the Surgical Services Department. The role involves carrying out the care plan, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with perioperative teams in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate should have RN licensure in Wisconsin, prior OR circulator experience, and current ACLS/PALS/BLS certifications. Per diem shifts may require occasional cross-training across the surgery area.

Responsabilités

• Ensure the plan of care is carried out through performance and leadership of nursing staff.
• Care for patients on a 24/7 basis in the OR.
• Cross-train to other areas within the Surgery Department as staffing needs require.
• Cross-train to Pre-op PACU after one year of current RN role.
• Maintain high standards of quality care and patient safety; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Represent Upland Hills Health positively in community relations and external interactions.

Position Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room Circulator

Location:Upland Hills Health - Dodgeville Hospital Campus

Role & Department: Operating Room Circulator in the Surgical Services Department

Hours & Shift: Per Diem Position, call rotation not required

Role Responsibilities

The RN OR Circulator is responsible to see that the plan of care is carried out through performance and/or leadership of subordinate personnel

This nursing unit cares for patients on a 24/7 basis

Staff may be asked to work alternate shifts at times

The RN OR Circulator may be required to cross-train to another patient care area within the Surgery Department depending on staffing needs

Typically, the RN OR Circulator will cross-train to the Pre-op PACU

Cross-training will occur after one year of experience in the current RN role or after discussions with the department manager

Must ensure high standards of quality care and customer service, with a detailed patient safety focus

Represent Upland Hills Health positively in community relations and external interactions

Maintain professional conduct and adhere to organizational policies and regulatory requirements

Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies

Qualifications

• The RN OR Circulator is responsible for assessing the spiritual, emotional, and physiological needs of the pre-operative, peri-operative, and post-operative patients; and planning the nursing care to meet these needs
• Candidates should be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Be licensed and have a current registration as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin
• Previous experience in an RN OR Circulator role is required
• Continued interest in professional growth through attendance of continuing education, in-services, and participation in professional organizations
• Membership in professional organizations preferred
• Certification in practice specialty preferred
• Ability to communicate exceptionally well (verbally and written)
• Ability to plan, direct and/or implement and evaluate the nursing care delivered to patients
• Participation on one or more councils/committees of value to the Organization
• ACLS, PALS, BLS certifications are required for RN Circulator
• Be very dependable and have some flexibility with their personal schedules
• Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite Applications is beneficial
