Job summary

Arizona Spine and Joint Hospital is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. The OR RN will provide direct patient care during surgery, position and prep patients, and circulate cases while guiding non-licensed staff. The role serves adolescents to geriatric patients within a multidisciplinary team.

Four 10-hour shifts weekly, with emphasis on infection control, professional competencies, and top-notch customer service. Arizona license and CPR/ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Orthopedic Operating Room Experience Required.
• Minimum of two OR experiences preferred.
• Current Arizona Nursing License.
• Current CPR and ACLS certification.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
• Ability to work with patients, families, physicians, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care during surgery cases in the OR.
• Position, prep, and circulate the surgical case.
• Serve as resource person for non-licensed staff.
• Care for adolescent to geriatric patients.

Arizona Spine and Joint Hospital is a specialty surgery hospital serving the valley for over 20 years! We are seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse for our Operating Room.

Responsibilities

• The OR RN provides nursing care and service during surgery cases.
• The RN will be responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case.
• Resource person and provides guidance to non-licensed personnel.
• Cares for adolescent to geriatric patients.

Ideal candidate will be focused on excellent customer service, have the ability to multi-task, the ability to show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, maintain professional competencies and have the ability to work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team.

Schedule

• Four, 10-hour shifts between Monday - Friday.

Required Skills

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Orthopedic Operating Room Experience Required
• Minimum of two (2) previous OR experience preferred.
• Current Arizona Nursing License.
• Current CPR, ACLS certified.
• Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
• Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees.
• Knowledgeable of hospital policies and procedures specific to operating room nurse.
• Clinically proficient in operating room nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of the developmental needs of the young adult, adult and geriatric patient.
