Job summary

Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center in Las Vegas is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our surgical team. You will provide preventative and supportive intra-operative care tailored to each patient’s needs and contribute to a high-performance operating room environment.

The role requires NV RN licensure, Associate degree or higher, and 2+ years in acute care OR or surgical settings with ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nevada.
• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing.
• Associates Degree in Nursing or higher, BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide intra-operative nursing care for patients.
• Act as patient advocate and member of the surgical team.
• Supervise OR suite and equipment cleanliness and readiness.
• Prepare patients physically, mentally, and emotionally for surgery.
• Verify patient identification and chart accuracy.
• Maintain OR schedule and patient flow.
• Assist anesthesia as needed.
• Document patient records accurately.

Summary:

Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. In this role you will provide the best possible preventative and supportive intra-operative care to each patient based upon their individual needs and are looking for a team member who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. • You will be responsible for the general well-being of the patient during the operative period


• You will act as the patient advocate, reviewing operative permit to ensure correctness of procedure. Functions as a member of the surgical team


• You will supervise care of the OR suite and equipment to ensures cleanliness, sterility, operation and availability of all necessary supplies and equipment and assists in opening sterile supplies


• You will prepare patient physically, mentally, and emotionally for surgical procedure and anticipates patient care needs during the procedure


• You will verify identification of patient according to person, chart, and ID band


• You will maintain awareness of OR schedule to ensure patient flow


• Ensure timely turnover of room for next case


• You will assist anesthesia provider as required


• You will document and maintain patient record and chart to ensure an accurate record of medical treatment

Qualifications:

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada


• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing.


• Associates Degree in Nursing or higher, BSN preferred


• Minimum 2 years experience in Acute Care OR or Surgical Center as an RN


• Advanced Cardiac Life Support


• Basic Cardiac Life Support


• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt


• Trauma Care After Resuscitation


• Pedi Care After Resuscitation
