Job summary

St. Mary’s Medical Center is seeking an RN for the Open Heart Recovery Unit. The nurse is responsible for daily planning, coordination, and monitoring of care with the nursing staff and other health care professionals caring for the patient. Ensures efficient use of resources and adherence to standards while documenting justified variations in patient needs.

This is a part-time position with focus on meeting outcomes and participating in unit management to support high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of West Virginia or a valid compact state nurse license.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor care with the nursing staff and other health care professionals.
• Ensure effective use of resources, maintain established standards of care, and meet outcomes within an appropriate length of stay.
• Ensure variations based on patients' individual needs are justified and well documented; assist with management needs of the Nursing Unit.
