Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. in Georgia is seeking a Registered Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders, established guidelines, and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, licensed as an RN in Georgia, and BLS certified; BSN preferred with 2 years of RN experience and additional life support credentials.

Qualifications

• Must hold BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
• Adheres to the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
• Independently coordinates patient care with physicians, families and other care team members.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
