AdventHealth is seeking a registered nurse for the AHMG Oncology and Hematology team in Lake Nona, Orlando. The role involves nursing assessments, medication administration, and coordinating care from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.

You will document procedures, evaluate patient status, and participate in care planning while adhering to safety guidelines and department policy. Excellent teamwork and patient-centered care are essential.

Qualifications

• Nurses must document and report procedures per policy.
• Nurses obtain nursing history and evaluate patient status.
• Nurses complete admission assessments and assess for abuse/neglect.
• Interprets diagnostic data to develop individualized care plans.
• Verifies orders, performs treatments, and administers medications.
• Teaches patients and participates in practice changes.

Responsibilities

• Documents and reports procedures and assessments in accordance with department policy.
• Obtains nursing history and evaluates patient behavior and motor skills.
• Completes admission assessments and assesses for signs of abuse or neglect.
• Interprets diagnostic data and develops individualized care plans.
• Verifies physician orders and performs treatments. Administers medications and functions in clinical emergencies.
• Teaches patients and participates in practice changes.
