Job summary

George Washington University Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a highly motivated Oncology RN to join our Medical/Surgical Oncology unit in downtown Washington, DC. The role includes administering chemotherapy, monitoring oncology-specific complications, and overseeing transfusions within a Level I Trauma Teaching Hospital setting.

The ideal candidate will hold an accredited RN program graduate status, a current state nursing license, BLS, and prefer 1 year (FT) or 3 years

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• BLS
• Current state nursing license.
• Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy.

As an Oncology/BMT RN, your responsibilities will encompass administering chemotherapy, closely monitoring oncology-specific complications such as febrile neutropenia, oncological emergencies, as well as overseeing blood and platelet transfusions. Your role will involve collaborating with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centric care at its best.
