Job summary

Kettering Health Network is seeking an RN for the Oncology Clinic to deliver specialized nursing care in an outpatient setting. You will assess patients, administer treatments, manage symptoms, and educate families, while upholding safety standards.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree (ADN/BSN), at least 1 year of clinical RN experience, and an Ohio RN license. BLS and ACLS are required or obtainable within designated timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Current, valid RN license in the State of Ohio.
• BLS certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities & Requirements

The RN Oncology Clinic provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment in an outpatient clinic setting. This role delivers patient-centered care by assessing needs, administering treatments, managing symptoms, and educating patients and families, all while ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program. Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing). Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience. Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Experience in oncology nursing or infusion therapy. Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification. Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification from the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
