Carilion Clinic is seeking an Oncology RN for a 22-bed blended medical-surgical/progressive cancer care unit in Roanoke. You will provide professional nursing care across all ages, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective outcomes.

The role emphasizes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care, with documentation in EMR and a focus on family education and performance improvement. A CO C-accredited facility supports your professional growth.

How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:

Oncology is a 22-bed blended medical-surgical/progressive cancer care unit that specializes in the complex care of the Oncology patient. Nurses utilize the science and art of nursing while collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team to meet the needs of the patient and family. We are a Commission on Cancer (COC) accredited facility.

The RN provides professional nursing care to patients across all age groups, supporting patient-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. This role collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality patient outcomes.

• Provides individualized patient care and coordinates care delivery for patients of all ages.

What We Require:

Education: Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.

Experience: None.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required or eligibility to obtain licensure required.

Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required. Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Keyboarding skills and computer literacy required, including use of electronic medical records. For Behavioral Health roles, must demonstrate ability to safely manage disruptive or potentially violent patients.

Compensation Range:
$33.52 - $50.28
Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
