Description:This position is for a travel RN in the Medical Oncology unit.The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.This unit has 33 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6.There is a unit secretary present from 7 AM to 11 PM, along with 3 CNAs for 33 patients.A Charge RN is assigned to each shift, along with Clinical Manager and Director support.Electronic whiteboards and iPhones with iMobile are used for communication and monitoring.The documentation system in use is Meditech.Travelers may be required to float to other units as needed.Hourly rounding is expected on day shifts and every 2 hours after 9 PM.Inpatient chemotherapy is administered by core nursing staff with ONS chemotherapy training.Pewter scrubs and white attire are the required uniform.Consider this opportunity if you are interested in working in an innovative environment with frequent pilots of new technology and supplies.The unit has received recognition as a distinguished Medical Surgical Nursing unit.
