Description:This is an outpatient infusion center position.The role requires administering chemotherapy and managing patient infusions.You will need to demonstrate skills in accessing and managing ports.You should have experience with patient education and support.Other required skills include the administration of blood products and chemotherapy.You must be able to recognize and manage side effects of treatments.The daily census of the unit is approximately 11 patients.Successful candidates will work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.Neutropenic precautions and infection control practices are essential.Strong communication skills are necessary for phone triage and patient interaction.Candidates should have experience with a variety of cancer diagnoses.You will be expected to complete work history verification for the past 7 years.All compliance documents are due prior to the start of the position.
