Job summary

Spirit Hospice of Georgia is seeking an on-call hospice nurse to provide compassionate, patient-centered care after hours in Georgia. This 7-on, 7-off schedule keeps your days free while you stand by for urgent visits.

You will triage calls, assess symptoms, administer medications as prescribed, and coordinate with the care team to ensure comfort and dignity for patients at home.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Georgia
• Current CPR & First Aid Certification
• Reliable and legal transportation to and from patient's residence

Responsibilities

• Provide after-hours hospice nursing care according to triage and patient needs
• Triage after-hours calls and assess symptoms
• Coordinate with the care team to ensure comfort and dignity for home-based patients

Hospice is a 24/7 service, and so are we. We know emergencies don’t clock out at 5 p.m., which is why we’re looking for an on-call hospice nurse to step in when patients need you most. This 7-on, 7-off role keeps your days free and your nights on standby. Thanks to our triage process, our nurse's phone will only ring after hours when a visit is truly needed (no midnight calls for paper cuts, we promise).

Position Requirements:

• Current RN license in the State of Georgia
• Current CPR & First Aid Certification
  
• Reliable and legal transportation to and from patient's place of residence
• Hospice or home care experience is a plus, but kindness and reliability matter the most
