Hospice of Alabama is seeking a Full Time On-Call Registered Nurse to join our team. The role focuses on compassionate, patient-centered end-of-life care across Cherokee, DeKalb, Etowah and Jackson counties.

Responsibilities include rapid assessment, care coordination, and family support, with a strong emphasis on documentation and compliance. A Bachelor's degree in nursing and an active RN license are required.

Qualifications

• Holds an unencumbered RN license.
• At least 1 year RN experience in medical-surgical/acute care; hospice a plus.
• Proficient with computers and EMR systems.

Overview

Hospice of Alabama is currently seeking a Full Time On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team, providing exceptional care and support to hospice patients and their families during their most critical moments. As an On-Call RN, you will play a vital role in identifying patient and family needs, coordinating care, and offering preventative measures and compassionate support.

Schedule: 7on/7off, 4:30 pm - 8 am, Monday - Friday and 24hr Saturday and Sunday

Territory: Cherokee, DeKalb, Etowah and Jackson

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or health care preferred.
• Hold current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Minimum one (1) year experience as an RN in a medical surgical/acute care setting. Hospice exp a Plus!
• Must be computer proficient in typing and various programs, including a background in EMR.
• Possess and maintain current CPR certification if required by state.

$74,000 - $80,000 per year (Average Pay Range). The pay range listed represents a general guideline for the role and is not a guarantee of the final offer. Compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate’s relevant experience and the specific responsibilities of the position. Final compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
