Ochsner Health in Lafayette, LA, seeks a registered nurse to provide patient care using the nursing process, assess learning needs, and contribute to multidisciplinary teamwork.
Requires RN license in the state, BLS, and preferred BAS or higher. You will teach patients and families, manage resources, and support quality outcomes in a high‑demand clinical setting.
Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Certification in Clinical Specialty Area.
Heavy Work – Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work. The job may involve walking or standing for significant periods, or pushing and pulling arm or leg controls, or operating at a production pace that requires constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even if their weight is negligible. Duties performed routinely require exposure to blood, body fluids and tissue. The incumbent works in a patient care area; works directly with patients; and/or works with specimens that could contain communicable diseases. There may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste handled in the environment during receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning, and disposal of contaminated waste.
