Texas Health Mansfield is seeking a full-time RN with obstetric and neonatal expertise to support deliveries and newborn care in a day shift. You will maintain resuscitation skills, perform precise identification and documentation, and coordinate safe transfers when needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify/report maternal and newborn problems to physicians promptly.
• Assist with safe transfer of newborns to other facilities when indicated.
• Identify/band newborns and mothers; document care activities accurately.

Job Description:

Shift: 7:00pm - 7:00am or 7:00am to 7:00pm

• Assist with newborn care at deliveries, providing immediate care and support to newborns during and after delivery.
• Maintain skills in neonatal resuscitation to respond effectively in emergencies.
• Demonstrate assessment skills in high and low-risk obstetrical patients to identify potential risks and health issues.
• Identify and report maternal and newborn problems to the physician promptly.
• Assist with the transfer of newborns to other facilities when indicated, ensuring safe and efficient transfers.
• Accurately identify and band newborns, mothers, and significant others to prevent mix-ups. Document all care activities accurately, including band identification numbers in medical records.

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 1+ OB ED, labor and delivery or postpartum nursing experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) [Required]
• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Neonatal Med Certification (NEONATAL MED) [Preferred]
