Job summary

Steele Memorial Medical Center in Salmon, Idaho, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Obstetrics Unit. You will provide compassionate, skilled care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum care, while promoting safety and family-centered support.

When OB cases are low, you may be assigned to the Med/Surg unit to maintain staffing and continuity of care. We value adaptability, teamwork, and patient-centered service in a rural community setting.

Qualifications

• RN licensure with the state board.
• Experience in obstetrics preferred.
• Ability to adapt to Med/Surg when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide care during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
• Monitor mother and baby health and progress.
• Support families and ensure safety and comfort.
• Assist in birthing process and maintain continuity of care.

Salmon, Idaho Experience

The RN for our Obstetrics Unit provides compassionate and skilled care to expectant mothers during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. This role involves monitoring and the health of both mother and baby, assisting in the birthing process, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for families. In the event that the Obstetrics unit does not have active patients, the RN will be assigned a patient load in the Med/Surg unit, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and continuity of care. This role requires adaptability in patient assignments, clinical expertise, and a commitment to patient-centered care across multiple units.
