Job summary

1103 Team Member Services is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for full-time night shift (7pm–7am) in Rome, GA. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible candidates with opportunities for salary increases based on clinical ladder criteria.

The role includes comprehensive patient assessments, SMART care plans, medication administration, patient and family education, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • RN license required
  • BLS certification required
  • 1+ year in acute care setting preferred
  • Fluent/strong English communication (verbal and written)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient assessments and collect history and vitals.
  • Develop and implement SMART care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications and therapies safely.
  • Provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
  • Advocate for patient safety and rights within the care system.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement and research.
  • Collaborate with doctors, therapists, social workers and other providers.
  • Document care activities accurately in medical records.
  • Monitor and adjust care plans based on ongoing assessments.
  • Perform nursing procedures such as wound care and catheterization.
  • Maintain a safe environment and participate in bedside shift reports.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Description:

Minimum Pay: $35 / hour Work Schedule: 3 x 12 hour shifts - 7pm-7am, rotating weekends Sign on Bonus: $15,000 for eligible candidates Grow with us. Eligible clinicians have the opportunity to earn salary increases of up to 20%* through our Clinical Ladder Program based on experience, professional development, and achievement of advancement criteria. Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines.

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments through observation, interviews, and physical examinations to gather patient history and vital signs, identifying physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.

Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment data, setting specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Administer medications and treatments safely, including oral, intravenous, and intramuscular forms, and perform necessary medical procedures such as wound care, catheterization, and IV therapy, ensuring accurate and safe execution.

Provide patient and family education about health conditions, treatments, and self-care practices, developing and delivering tailored educational materials and programs, and offering discharge instructions and follow-up care plans.

Advocate for patient health and safety by acting as a liaison between patients and the healthcare system, protecting patient rights and confidentiality, and securing necessary resources to improve patient outcomes.

Participate in performance improvement activities by engaging in unit-based quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and research initiatives, applying current healthcare research findings to expand clinical knowledge, and using quality measures to enhance performance and accountability for patient outcomes.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including doctors, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare providers, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care, maintaining open and clear communication with all team members.

Collect and analyze patient health data from patients, families, and healthcare providers using appropriate techniques and instruments, and prioritize patient needs based on their immediate condition and overall health status to ensure timely and effective care.

Document patient care activities accurately and timely in medical records, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and patient responses, to ensure continuity and quality of care.

Evaluate and adjust care plans by monitoring and documenting the effectiveness of care plans and interventions, making necessary adjustments based on ongoing patient assessments and feedback.

Perform nursing procedures such as wound care, catheterization, and specimen collection, ensuring accurate and safe implementation.

Ensure patient safety by adhering to established policies and procedures, maintaining a safe environment, and participating in bedside shift reports to ensure continuity of care and effective communication among healthcare team members.

Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes
Education:
