Job summary

Tenet Memphis in Bartlett, TN is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Observation for a staff position with direct patient care responsibilities. The role includes assessing, planning, and delivering nursing care to assigned patients on a per‑shift basis and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing school, current RN license, and BLS; ACLS within 3 months. CPI, PALS, and NRP are required for Bartlett departments where applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and an active RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, CPI, PALS certifications required or in progress.
• Academic degree in nursing preferred (Bachelor's or Master’s).
• Bartlett-specific required certifications include CPI, PALS, and NRP where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical patient care.
• Assess, plan, implement direct nursing care per shift.
• Supervise staff to whom care is delegated.
• Support CNO to ensure high quality, safe nursing care and resource management.
• Coordinate patient care using a multi-disciplinary approach.
• Develop care plans for newly admitted patients and adjust as needed.
• Deliver nursing interventions aligned with the medical plan of care.
• Document nursing care accurately in patient records.
• Perform related duties as required.
