• Demonstrates a working knowledge of the postpartum and nursery nursing process, performs prompt assessment, forms plan of care, implements actions, and evaluates appropriately for the postpartum/nursery patients.
• Provides care for neonates and female patients of childbearing age.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Maintains current RN license with Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners.
• Six months minimal clinical experience, perinatal preferred.
• Successful completion of Neonatal Resuscitation and ACLS course within one year of hire.
• Must maintain current BLS.
• Obtain 6 hours of breastfeeding education within one year and 20 hours of continuing education annually.
