Job Description

Coordinates patient care throughput and nurse staffing needs during assigned shift.

Reports to: Lead Nursing Supervisor and designated Unit Director.

Minimum Education

Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Nursing or RN Diploma - Required.

Required Skills
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Ability to apply basic nursing knowledge to all settings in the hospital.
  • Requires ability to function effectively within a high-level multi-task environment.
Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) - Required to be current upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (American Heart Association or Red Cross) - Required within 6 months of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (American Heart Association or Red Cross) - Required within 6 months of hire.
Licenses

Must have upon hire and maintain Tennessee or Multi-State Registered Nurse licensure.

Minimum Work Experience

Minimum of 2 years hospital nursing experience required. Experience as charge nurse or nurse manager preferred.
