Job summary

Maimonides Medical Center is seeking a part-time Nursing Psych 6 RN for night shift (8pm–8:30am). This 0.6 FTE role involves delivering direct nursing care under Nursing Director supervision and participating in collaborative patient care within MMC’s programs.

Qualifications include NYS RN licensure, current BLS, and hospital nursing experience. The position emphasizes patient-centered care, teamwork, and professional development in a major teaching hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current NYS licensure as RN required.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Overview

Under the general supervision of the Nursing Director or Assistant Nursing Director provides direct nursing care to patients.

• Engages in caring relationships that integrate the influence of the human experience of health, illness and/or healing, and relationship-based care.
• Manages assignment and material resources effectively.
• Applies leadership skills consistent with role and experience.
• Incorporates teaching in the delivery of care to promote health and prevent disease and documents when appropriate.
• Integrates relevant knowledge and evidence-based practice (utilizing teamwork and collaboration).
• Provides specialty-specific care as outlined by Maimonides Medical Center.
• Indicates an Essential Job Function.

Qualifications

Education:

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing school required; BSN preferred.
• Current NYS licensure as RN required.
• Current BLS certification required. Current ACLS certification preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of professional nursing experience appropriate to the service and the position.
