JOB SUMMARY

Oversees the daily operations of one or more nursing departments, including program planning, financial oversight, quality improvement, patient care, and staff supervision/development in accordance with all professional, regulatory, and accreditation standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Operations Management: Oversees 24/7 department operations, ensures compliance with standards, develops policies, and collaborates with leadership on program planning.
2. Financial Management: Prepares budgets, manages services within budget, and collaborates on revenue and inventory management.
3. HR Leadership and Management: Provides leadership, recruits, trains staff, and conducts performance evaluations, fostering effective communication.
4. Performance Improvement: Implements quality assurance programs, ensures customer satisfaction, and collaborates on patient care improvements.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

Required: 4-year Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field; BSN required if no higher nursing degree.

Preferred: Graduate Degree (Master's); MSN preferred if BSN is not held.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:

Current nursing license in Ohio; required certifications vary by department, including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc., as specified.

EXPERIENCE:

At least three years of leadership experience, including roles such as charge nurse or preceptor.
