Job Description

We are looking for a FT RN Director of Intensive Care Unit. Responsible for assisting with decision making, program planning, and implementation of patient care delivery systems which promotes safety and well-being of all patients within the system. Demonstrates sound financial knowledge and management. Facilities the organization and management to achieve optimal patient appropriate resource utilization. Builds and maintains strategic relationships. Builds and maintains high performing care delivery teams. Manages conflict and competing imperatives. Builds customer loyalty among physicians, employees and community. Possesses requisite level of technical and professional knowledge in nursing including exceptional leadership skills.

Qualifications

:

Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, BS in nursing or health related required, Masters degree required.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ progressive management experience in health care setting. Preferably in a CCU/ICU setting. Knowledge of JCAHO requirements, knowledge of budget preparation and management principles, knowledge of current nursing management theory and practices, knowledge of infection control practices, and knowledge of quality improvement practices.

Professional Requirement: Current TX RN license required.

Certifications: BLS, ACLS required
