McKnight Place Extended Care in St. Louis, MO, seeks an RN Nurse Supervisor to lead the clinical team and ensure safe, person-centered resident care.

This floor-level leadership role supervises Charge Nurses, CNAs, and support staff, coordinating with the DON/ADON and interdisciplinary teams, while driving infection prevention and quality assurance. Missouri RN licensure is required with at least 2 years in LTC and strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.

Qualifications

• Missouri RN license is required and must be current.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical LTC experience.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work rotating weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other care team.
• Conduct rounds to monitor resident care and safety.
• Collaborate with DON/ADON and interdisciplinary team.
• Support infection prevention, medication management, and QA.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and policies.
• Assist with admissions, assessments, and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities Overview:

As an RN Nurse Supervisor, you'll lead by example, help mentor the clinical team, and make sure every resident receives safe, exceptional, person-centered care in a supportive, collaborative environment.

This is a floor-level leadership role. You'll provide direct supervision to Charge Nurses, CNAs, CMTs, and Restorative Aides, serve as the clinical bridge between frontline staff and the DON/ADON, and make sure every shift runs safely, smoothly, and to standard.

What You'll Do:

• Provide leadership guidance and support to Charge Nurses (RNs and LPNs), CNAs, and CMTs.

• Conduct routine rounds to monitor resident care and safety, and ensure quality standards are met.

• Respond to resident, family, and staff concerns with professionalism and compassion.

• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, and interdisciplinary team members.

• Support infection prevention, medication management, and quality assurance initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with state regulations, community policies, and clinical standards.

• Assist with admissions, assessments, incident investigations, and clinical documentation as needed.

• Serve as the clinical leader and decision-maker during the shift, responding appropriately to emergencies and resident care needs.

Position Requirements:

• Valid, unencumbered Missouri RN license required

• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in long-term care (LTC)

• Supervisory experience strongly preferred

• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and team leadership skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team

• Availability for rotating weekends and holidays as needed
