The Spohn RN Residency program is accepting applications for upcoming cohorts at CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline, South, Kleberg, Beeville, and Alice facilities.

If you are a recent nursing graduate, new grad nurse, or an RN with less than 12 months of experience, our Nurse Residency Pathway helps transition you into the hospital environment with confidence, knowledge, and skills.

Designed by nurses for nurses, the program supports your learning through mentorship, preceptorship, debriefings, and interactive virtual classes led by experts, all aimed at enhancing patient care quality and safety.

We welcome applicants planning to complete the RN licensure process before the cohort start. Our goal is nursing excellence through evidence-based practices and research-supported knowledge.

Our web-based development suite offers 24/7 access to curriculum, performance tracking, evaluations, and real-time feedback to support your growth and connect with mentors and peers.

Application Process

Apply to be considered for available unit openings. A recruiter will discuss your interests and opportunities during prescreening. Virtual interviews will be conducted with hiring managers. No need to apply separately for different units.

Qualifications
  • Valid, unencumbered Texas RN license or GN Permit
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Knowledge of nursing process and patient needs across physical, psychosocial, spiritual, cultural, and developmental domains
  • Strong communication skills
