Job summary

MercyOne Medical Center in Newton, IA is seeking an experienced Inpatient Nurse Manager to lead inpatient units, Care Coordination, and hospitalist teams. This leadership role focuses on clinical excellence, performance improvement, and mentoring a dedicated nursing staff.

The role requires RN licensure in Iowa (or compact state), a BSN preferred, and at least 5 years of acute care experience, with a strong emphasis on leadership and safety culture.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in Iowa or compact state.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred (or actively pursuing).
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in acute care or related settings.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• BLS certification (or obtained within 3 months of hire).
• Completion of Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
