Job summary

Veterans Health Administration within Marion VA Health Care System is hiring three full-time Registered Nurses for the Nursing Officer of the Day (NOD) department. The RN will manage nursing care units, staff, and patient flow in a leadership role across the medical center.

Qualifications include a nursing degree from an ACEN/CCNE-accredited program, RN licensure, English proficiency, and BLS/ACLS certifications. Comprehensive VA total rewards are offered with shift-based schedules.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required for direct patient care as per VA standards.
• RN licensure in good standing with a state licensing board.
• Nursing degree from an ACEN/CCNE-accredited program, or equivalent.
• Foreign nursing education accepted with degree equivalency validation if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care with leadership in staffing and patient flow.
• Lead interdisciplinary team and coordinate patient care across units.
• Maintain BLS and ACLS certifications prior to employment and keep current.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies and standards of care.
• Assist in bed control and resource allocation during shifts.
