Job summary

UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC seeks a Nursing Leader for the Gynecologic Oncology Clinic at UNC Medical Center. You will ensure appropriate patient care and staffing, supervise nursing and support staff, and participate in quality and education initiatives.

Ideal candidates have at least 18 months in gynecologic oncology, supervisory experience preferred, and a BSN. Standard hours are Monday–Friday 8a–5p, with no weekends or holidays, onsite.

Qualifications

• Eighteen (18) months of professional nursing experience in a tertiary care setting.
• Supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care - Ensures appropriate care and services for patients and families; coordinates with the care team.
• Human Resource Services - Manages staff resources and provides annual performance feedback.
• Budget Management - Uses financial info to meet budget goals and allocate resources.
• Accreditation Issues - Adheres to nursing standards and accreditation requirements.
• Customer Satisfaction - Maintains high patient satisfaction and communicates results to staff.
• Quality Improvement - Leads quality initiatives focusing on patient safety and care.
• Education - Fosters education and orientation for staff and competency evaluation.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from a state-accredited school of professional nursing
