A leading healthcare provider in Virginia Beach is seeking a Radiological Technologist for Urgent Care. The role involves performing radiologic procedures, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with clinical teams. Candidates should have relevant experience and certifications. The Radiological Technologist – Urgent Care reports to department leadership and, under the direction of a provider/nurse/MLT, supports and assists with clinical and laboratory services to enhance patient flow and satisfaction. Responsibilities include accurately obtaining, documenting, and reporting variances for history, vital signs, EKGs, and growth parameters for developmental stages.
Current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
Work environment includes radiology/imaging areas with rare exposure to unpleasant odors and occasional exposure to infectious agents. Regular radiation exposure is minimized through safety measures such as lead aprons, gloves, shielding devices, and exposure badges. Ability to stand long periods, lift or turn disabled patients, and follow safety protocols is necessary.
