The experienced L&D/LDRP Registered Nurse will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and positive birth experiences.

About the Role

Andalusia Health is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery / LDRP Registered Nurse to join our team. Please note this is a FLOAT POOL Position. The candidate will provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum, requiring expertise in obstetric nursing, critical care, and emergency medicine. The RN will work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure positive birth outcomes.

In This Role You Will

• Monitor the health status of mothers and newborns throughout labor.
• Administer medications and perform procedures such as phlebotomy and IV placement.
• Assist with labor management, providing education and emotional support.
• Assess maternal-fetal well-being using appropriate tests and monitoring equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
• Respond to emergencies with critical care skills.
• Educate patients on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with ICD-10 standards.
