Qualifications

Job Description - RN-NURSE ANESTHETIST (CRNA) - 36/hrs Day Shifts - Temple Women and Families - 25K Sign On Bonus (246285)

The position will be primarily based at Temple Health Women's and Family. However, you may be required to occasionally rotate and perform services at both (a) Temple University Hospital, Inc., 3401 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140; and (b) Temple Women's and Family, 1331 E Wyoming Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19124, based on staffing needs at those locations.

Administers general, regional anesthetics or Monitored Anesthesia Care during surgical and/or obstetrical procedures under the medical direction of an attending anesthesiologist. Evaluates situations and informs attending anesthesiologists of patient's condition; recommends anesthetics to be used; techniques of administration and supportive measures necessary for approval by attending physician as required by departmental guidelines. Checks anesthesia machine and monitoring equipment, supplies, medication and anesthesia gases. Monitors and records the patient's vital signs, records all medication administered to the patient and related reactions and responses.

Education
  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
  2. Bachelors Degree: Nursing (Required)
  3. Masters Degree: Nursing (Preferred)
Experience
  1. 2 Years experience in an academic medical center OR as a CRNA. (Preferred)
License/Certifications
  1. RN-LIC - PA Registered Nurse License (Required)
  2. CRNA - Cert Registered Nurse Anesth (Required)
  3. BLS - Basic Life Support (Required)
  4. ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required)
