Job summary

HCA Florida Lehigh Hospital is seeking a Radiology Registered Nurse for the Special Procedures Department. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure high-quality care in a procedural environment and join an amazing team that values patient care as highly as we do.

You will assess and intervene across pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care, assist physicians, and ensure equipment readiness. A Florida RN license, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license or compact licensure with active FL license within 60 days.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills; PC proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care of invasive radiology patients (pre-, intra-, post-procedure).
• Assist physicians in procedures and ensure equipment is available and prepared.
• Monitor patients during procedures and document findings accurately.
• Continuously assess patient condition and respond appropriately; administer meds per orders.

Job Summary And Qualifications

We are seeking a Radiology Registered Nurse for our Special Procedures Department. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a procedural environment. What you will do in this role:

• You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of invasive radiology patients; pre-, intra-, and post-procedure.
• You will assist physicians in procedures.
• You will identify, determine, and ensure all appropriate equipment is available for procedures. You will ensure room is set up in a timely manner.
• You will monitor patients during procedures and document appropriately.
• You will continuously assess, monitor, record and communicate patient condition and act appropriately.
• You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
