Job summary

Cross Creek Hospital in Austin, TX is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide and coordinate care for patients with behavioral health needs, including detox and inpatient psychiatric services.

You will follow nursing plans, document care, and collaborate with physicians and the care team. Requires RN license, CPR and de-escalation/ restraint training; prior psychiatric or SUD experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess a current RN license in Texas or be eligible to practice.
• One year of nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral health or SUD experience preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.
• First aid may be required depending on state/facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about health conditions.
• Administer medications per orders and document administration accurately.
• Complete admission and discharge processing efficiently and accurately.
• Demonstrate professional communication with patients, families, and staff.
