Job summary

SGMC Health in Valdosta, GA is seeking an RN to join the MEDICAL NEUROLOGY department on a 12-hour night shift (7p-7a). This role focuses on delivering quality patient care, coordinating plans with physicians, and supporting staff development on the unit.

Current Georgia RN licensure and CPR are required. Leadership and prior supervisory experience are preferred to help manage the shift and ensure adherence to standards of care.

Qualifications

• Education, licensure and certification required.
• Current RN license in the State of Georgia.
• Leadership, supervision, and/or management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the delivery of quality patient care on a shift and provides patient care through implementation of the nursing process of all age groups cared for on the unit.
• Coordinates patient’s plan of care with physicians and other disciplines.
• Maintains an atmosphere which ensures SGMC Health’s mission, vision, values, code of conduct, goals, policies and standards are consistently supported and enforced.
• Manages shift within established budgetary parameters.
• Supervises, manages and actively assists in staff development on assigned shift.
