Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a Clinical Nursing Supervisor (RN) to lead an acute care unit during night shifts. The role oversees daily nursing operations, staffing, and regulatory compliance while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

You will work with the Director and Nurse Manager, mentor staff, collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and step into unit leadership when others are unavailable.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certificate upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum 2 years clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory/leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily nursing operations and supervise clinical staff.
• Ensure quality patient care, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, workflow, and resource utilization.
• Coach, mentor, train, and evaluate nursing staff.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Drive quality improvement and operational excellence.
• Serve as unit leader in the absence of the Director or Nurse Manager.
• Provide direct patient care as needed within RN scope of practice.
