Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL, seeks a Clinical Nursing Supervisor (RN) to lead an assigned acute care unit, ensuring safe, high‑quality, patient‑centered care. You will oversee daily operations, staffing, regulatory compliance, and staff development in collaboration with leadership.

In this role you will supervise clinical staff, drive QA, and mentor teammates while also providing direct patient care as needed.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
• Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS) upon hire and maintain current.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily nursing operations and supervise clinical staff.
• Ensure quality patient care, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, workflow, and resource utilization.
• Coach, mentor, train, and evaluate nursing staff.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Drive quality improvement and operational excellence.
• Serve as unit leader in the absence of the Director or Nurse Manager.
• Provide direct patient care as needed within RN scope of practice.
