Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current nursing license to practice in Michigan.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS within one year of transfer.
• Complete basic dysrhythmia course.

Responsibilities

• Provides bedside nursing care and carries out medical orders.
• Delegates to and oversees Nurse Assistant, Patient Care Associate and other staff.
• Collaborates with physician to plan a care plan for return to health.
• Evaluates effectiveness of the care plan.
• Leads patient conferences and coordinates discharge/transfer planning.
• Precepts/mentors new employees and students.
