Job summary

Piedmont Newton Hospital in Covington, GA is seeking a staff nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle. You will apply nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while following hospital policies.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited nursing program, with RN licensure in Georgia and BCLS, and may have a BSN; prior hospital experience is preferred for some shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN degree preferred.
• No experience required; new graduates eligible.
• Hospitals experience preferred; 1 year for PRN positions preferred.
• RN license in Georgia (Georgia State Licensure) or NLC/eNCL Multistate.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required.
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across the lifecycle using nursing processes (assess, plan, implement, evaluate).
• Coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff to ensure quality care.
• Follow organizational policies and maintain standards of practice.
