Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking a PRN Neonatal ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced NICU environment. You will utilize the nursing process, evaluate care effectiveness, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and current RN licensure in the hiring state or via compact licensure, plus BLS certification (or within 30 days of hire).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure required.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments and maintains patient rights and confidentiality.

Position Details:

PRN Position (as needed) Mercy Hospital - W Memorial Rd Neonatal ICU

Overview:

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications:

Education : Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program

Licensure:

Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Physical requirements/demands :

Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

Certifications :

Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications as required
