Job summary

Mercy Hospital - W Memorial Rd in Oklahoma is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for the Neonatal ICU. The role focuses on delivering patient care using the nursing process, coordinating with multiple departments and maintaining patient rights and privacy.

Qualified candidates will be graduates of an accredited RN program with an active RN license and Basic Life Support certification, with flexibility for on-call shifts. Mercy offers solid benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Position requires pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly; continuous standing and walking; bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting as needed.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process with professional accountability.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments while protecting patient rights and confidentiality.

Overview:

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications as required
