AdventHealth in Ocala, FL is seeking an experienced RN for NICU Level III/IV to provide comprehensive critical care. The role involves assessing patients, creating individualized care plans, administering treatments, and coordinating with the care team.

Requires 1+ year NICU experience, ASN, BLS, and RN licensure. Cerner or EPIC EMR experience preferred. Competitive pay, benefits from day one, and opportunities for professional development are offered.

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.

• Previous EKG Interpretation Class [Preferred]
• EPIC [Preferred]

Experience:

• 1+ year of RN NICU level III or IV experience in an acute care setting [Required]

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
